Video

To open up discussions on what the schedule looks like for students, we invited five faculty members to become a 'Student for a Day.'

Here's the full video (11 minutes).

Original post: Create video!

I given some thought recently as to why I'm not experimenting with video more.

Didn't come up with a good answer.

I ask students to do this all the time as part of the creative work we do in the Lab, in the baseball program at Burr and Burton, and in PD sessions I do for adults.

Hmm...

In today's world you can record video pretty easily. Grab a smartphone, iPod, FlipCam, Point and shoot cameras... old or new technology.

Here's a poorly shot video I took that I show to students. Not everything has to be a video production... it doesn't have to be perfect to get your point across.

It's shaky (sitting on a swing set), it's spontaneous.

Grab a camera and try to shoot some video. Have fun, anticipate, play, and enjoy the day.
